Project Vidhyadhanam

Give your books a new journey.

Vidhyadhanam ("the gift of knowledge") collects usable books from individuals, schools, colleges and publishers, then puts them directly into the hands of students, libraries and community learning spaces that need them — free of cost.

About the initiative

A simple bridge between spare books and eager readers.

Every year, usable books sit unread in homes, school storerooms and publisher warehouses, while students just a few kilometres away can't afford the same titles. Project Vidhyadhanam closes that gap — donors give responsibly, our team verifies and catalogues every book, and students, schools and community libraries receive them for free, paying only the delivery charge through our Shop.

Objectives

What we're working towards.

Give books a second life

Put academic and reading material in the hands of students who need it most.

Strengthen community libraries

Help schools and community spaces build stronger, more relevant collections.

Make giving effortless

A simple, transparent process for donors, and a dignified process for recipients.
